JA police looking for Mavado, Bounty Killer- 'Mavado' charged with assault

POPULAR entertainers Rodney 'Bounty Killer' Price and David 'Mavado' Brooks have been named as persons of interest by the Half-Way-Tree Police following an incident outside the Quad Nightclub in New Kingston during the wee hours of Monday, June 13th.
DANCEHALL powerhouses Rodney 'Bounty Killer' Price and David 'Mavado' Brooks reported to the police earlier today in relation to an incident at a popular haunt in New Kingston this morning.
Both were named as persons of interest by the Half-Way-Tree Police following the incident outside the Quad Nightclub which resulted in a member of Mavado's entourage being allegedly shot by a member of the security forces.
The deejays were not wanted for any crimes but were being sought by the cops who wanted to collect statements from them in relation to the shooting. They gave statements and left the station.
The shooting reportedly happened during an altercation which developed after a security guard attempted to search a member of the deejays' entourage.
The injured man was reportedly shot in the stomach and is now in a serious condition in hospital.
Police said the two men, hours later, turned up at the station where Bounty Killer, whose real name is Rodney Pryce, was questioned and released. Brooks was, however, charged with assault occasioning bodily harm and was offered station bail in the sum of $30,000.
He is scheduled to appear before the Half-Way-Tree Resident Magistrate's Court to answer the charge on June 23.
Brooks was last month charged with malicious destruction of property in the St Ann's Bay Resident Magistrate's Court but was later freed after the complainant in the case dropped the matter.
