Knowles reworked her original "Get Me Bodied" (2007) which was produced by Swizz Beatz into what has been described as a "kid-friendlier" track tittled "Move Your Body". The video aims to promote First Lady Michelle Obama's "Let's Move! Campaign" against childhood obesity. Choreography was created by Frank Gatson, who additionally created the choreography for "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)".
