Announced 15th June by the Barbados Tourism Authority (BTA), Rihanna will be performing in her Bajan home after signing a three-year partnership with the BTA to exclusively promote Barbados as a tourist destination.
The Grammy Award winner will be officially starting the partnership on August 5th with her full length 'Loud' concert produced by the BTA and Roc Nation. This is just the beginning of the Barbados Ambassador's exclusive promotion for Barbados. The Caribbean superstar will also be promoting Barbados thorugh promotional appearences and advertising campaigns using the ever popular social media, including her 38 million+ member Facebook fan page.
Barbados' Minister of Tourism, Richard L. Sealy stated, “In the hearts of every Barbadian, Rihanna is known as the girl down the road, but to the world she has become a musical sensation and social phenomenon." “She is a great source of national pride to Barbados and we are thrilled to enter into this formal partnership to promote Barbados as a leading tourist destination.”
