Toni Braxton cancels Mother's Day show in Trinidad


The mother’s day show featuring Toni Braxton and James Ingram is being cancelled. There is word today that Toni Braxton has pulled out of the show in Trinidad and Tobago this weekend because of death threats. Via the U.S. Television network ‘B.E.T. Ms. Braxton’s sister Tamar has confirmed that the mother’s day show cannot happen because the singer fears for her life.
According to information coming from the camp of Toni Braxton, the situation is directed more at the promoter of the event, but she is taking no chances. B.E.T. is quoting the singer as saying she has kids and will not perform under such circumstances. The show was carded for the Queen’s Park Savannah in Port of Spain on Saturday night. Toni Braxton was to perform along with James Ingram. The promoter has just released a statement confirming the cancellation of the show. The statement says due to reasons beyond the control of the promoter Toni Braxton is unable to fulfill her contractual commitment to perform in Trinidad and Tobago.
The promoter assures full refunds will be available at the point of purchase of tickets from tomorrow until May 20th.
