Man Cosplays As Hulk, Can’t Remove Green Ink

Cosplay isn’t for everyone — after all you’ve got to get your wardrobe together, get dressed up and of course find a way to drive to the convention without being flagged down by a police officer for pretending to be batman. In the end it’s all in good fun and part of the pageantry that is costume play. But it’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt, or in this case, can’t physically remove their costume.
According to Comic Book Resources, the foremost authority in people who can’t remove their cosplay costumes, a 35 year old Brazilian man, Paulo Henrique dos Santos, “dressed” himself up as The Hulk as part of a charity event/run. The costume was the talk of the town, but unfortunately, 20 baths later, the green paint won’t come off: “I spent hours in the bath trying to get this makeup and nothing…I had to ask for help from my girlfriend. The worst is that the ink has not decreased. The product is impregnated in my body. Even rubbing soap, still green.” Good gravy… The worst part so far is that dos Santos hasn’t been able to return to work…as a pool cleaner. He says he does plan to sue the company that manufactured the ink, which apparently WASN’T water soluble. Until then, he has to be considered one of the most dedicated Hulk cosplayers on the planet. He might find there are a few perks to being in that position.
